Health of my family

I believe that the best way to approach health care is to start with yourself. Since our bodies take nutrition to function properly we should consider our diet. The foods that we eat everyday has a lot to do with our intake of nutrients, a daily intake of fresh vegetables is a good start. Most every plant and fruit has plenty of nutrition to offer a person. I try to limit my salt and cholesterol from most of my meals.
I drink mostly water after a couple cups of coffee in the morning.
For my family I encourage them to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, they enjoy it, of course its a struggle to limit their intake of less desirable things like candy. Candy is alright but to much can be bad. I have everyone taking a multivitamin as well as Bee Pollen on occasion. There is still much to learn about our health but I believe it is worth it.

Health for my Kids

I was thinking of my kids the other day, about how I am responsible for their health now that the adoption is finished. The judge signed the papers on 11/22/11.
I suppose the fist place to start is with a good Multivitamin, and add maybe some Bee Pollen. The Bee Pollen I will check out the health food store to see if I could find some fresh. I don't really want to go with tablets if possible. I think Bee Pollen is good for their immune system, because of the experience I had with my daughter when she was a toddler.
Taking care of their health during the formative years will pay dividends in the years to come by having stronger and healthier kids when they get older. With the high cost of good quality doctors, I am coming out ahead doing some prevention measures. I hope they take health care with them when they grow and strike out on their own. That won't happen anytime soon so I have a good chance to teach them to take care of their health as well as appearance.
With Christmas coming I need to get some gifts for them, but I better get some vitamins first. I am still not sure what to get them for Christmas, but I still have a little time to decide.

Summer Time

Well summer time is almost over and its time to start thinking of some fall weather. But the way things are going looks like we might have a little more warm weather. I live in Southeast Alaska and was out for a walk, it was sad to see the leaves turning different colors now, although it does look fantastic when the sun shines on the leaves.
Well its time to get in some exercise now that the weather cooled a little. It is a difficult to get motivated when the sun is beating down. I enjoy working with weights, and finishing it off with a slow easy stretch of the muscles that I just worked out. I used to enjoy going out for a run but after I broke my ankle I don't really run much anymore. Well the coming of fall brought about some things to think about.

Physical fitness

Summer time is here for sure we went out had a real nice time on the beach. Summers are real nice even in Alaska. It was good to get out of the winter gear. It got me to thinking about physical fitness and being able to enjoy all that life has to offer. Putting fitness first to start off the day is the time I enjoy the most, when it still cool out, getting out and doing a short run or a work out with some weights. Then when it gets nice and warm out I could just relax and enjoy the day.
Getting a nice work out is only one part of being healthy, the other part is in having a proper diet. Not so easy at times, like last night I had a bit more than I should have. Its turning out to be a good summer and I look forward to enjoying it, fitness lets me enjoy life more.

Healthy life

I sure enjoyed my moms cooking on Christmas. She cooked up a real feast. I try to stay healthy by diet and exercise. Of course I look for more information, because I believe that diet and exercise goes a long way to adding life to my years, not just years to my life.
I was on the world wide web, when I came across a site that had "Habit Guide: How to be healthy and happy" I think I will go ahead and purchase it. Here's the link if you would like to check it out too.
Healthy living There are a number of programs on the page that sound pretty good but I think I will go with the Habit Guide first. I would like to learn more about health food. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That is one quote I try to keep in mind while I go about my business.

Dieting Demystified

We sure had a good feast this Christmas, I think I may have had a little to much to eat. Which makes me think about my health. After looking over a few web sites I have found a site that looks interesting. I could use some help (knowledge) about how to lose the fat. I am wondering if its the type of food that I eat, not just the calories, well I think that I might consider trying "The Diet Solution" That one sounds like it will be worth the investment, if it helps me lose pounds.

Staying Healthy

With so many health problems today, it stands to reason the best way to avoid the high cost of health care is to maintain your health. An ounce of prevention is a pound of cure. I have looked at different web sites, and at times it can get quite confussing to figure out what is right. What can I do is a real problem. It seems that fruits and vegtables are the way to go when it comes to nutrition.
